Everything went i installed leo4all v2 rebooted and for a day it was perfect ok.
I didn't not have sound from my speakers but the headphones were doing it ok.
I put the system to sleep and now i am stuck in blue screen just before my desktop. Actually before that i also had a couple problems with the system going to sleep i could not wake it up had to proess the power button for more that 4 seconds.Now I can move my mouse around the nice blue screen but that is everything i can do beeng logged on.
I tried the fix with removing the video it didn't work still on the same blue page :-(…
and i installed and customized so much things ….

Is there any way to repair the installation without reinstalling the OS.
One more question how can i install battery indicator on Leo

have conquered numerous hurdles and now i am at the login screen of mac os x. i previously had to boot leo4all with the -s tag and chnage the root password. now when i got to login i put username root and password the one i changed it too (im sure its the right one) but it will not log me in. any help?

Hi all,

I have factory Dell Dimension 8400, onboard Broadcom 57XX (BCM5750 14E4 1677) lan, just wanted to let you know that I was able to get my lan work after doing a lot of reading. I am including the link for the file I uploaded. You can simply use the kext helper included with Leo4All. Once loaded, restart your computer and should be success! :)

I have a MSI K8NGM2-FID mainboard. Installed Leo4All with no problem. Rebooted and ran into Kernel panic, then removed NVDAResman.kext, system then booted ok. But I have Lan, video and sound problems

1) LAN
The onboard LAN was not recognized initially. I then added the device id (0269) to Info.plist under forthdeph.kext. The driver was then loaded successfully. en0 showed up in "ifconfig". But I can't get any connection. DHCP failed to get IP address. Manually assigned IP did not work either. Any idea?

2) Sound
I loaded "AC97" and "RealTek 880" driver during installation. But still have no sound.

3) Video
The resolution is locked at 1024x768. no way to change resolution to 1280x768 as I have a wide screen. I selected "NVidia 10.5.2 Kexts" and "NVinject 128". Both loaded ok. I understand I had to remove NVDAResman.kext to get pass kernel panic. Is that the reason I don't get other resolutions?

Stuck on IOAPIC

My Dell Inspiron 1520 gets stuck trying to boot the install DVD.

This is the last thing I see with every kernel option (Kalyway 10.5.2 and Leo4Allv2 10.5.2)

MAC Framework successfully initialized
using 16384 buffer headers and 4096 cluster IO buffer headers
IOAPIC: Version 0x20 Vectors 0:23

uses GM 965, nVidia 8600M, Core2Duo, 4GB RAM.

iATKOSv2 10.5.1 boots up but it's only 10.5.1

I try to install Leo4all 10.5.2, on my machine. The Spec are : Abit P35V motherboard, Intel Core2Duo 2.66 Ghz, 2GB Memory, ATI HD 2600 Pro graphic card. SATA DVDRW, 160 GB Samsung HDD and 2X250GB Seagate HDD. I use 160 GB HDD for my system. I devide it by 3 partition. First partition for Windows XP systemusing NTFS. Second partition I plan for OSX86 , I create this partition using Fat 32 . And third partition for my data/backup using FAT32.
Installation problem come when I use Disk Utility. All partition are hidden, can not to be erased or formated. So I can not continue the installation process. I also can not reboot to my Windows XP. Using Acronis Disk Director I unhide all my partition and after rebooting my Windows Xp run again. Try again to boot using my Leo4All DVD using -v (verbose mode), my machine reboot automatically before Installation GUI come (I dont press/do anyting). Then the Installation GUI come, and when I open Disk Utility, all my partition hidden again. Three time I try to unhide my partition and boot using Leo4All still don work.
Any tips for Installation? Please help me.
Note : I succes to install Leo Kaliway before using the same hardware spec.

I recently started messing around with Leo4Allv2, before this version I tried loading Kalaway with no success. I was having issues getting it to install, finally I just used a USB mouse and was able to get to select the language. Now I get all the way through the the installation and at 100% it gives me an Installation Fail - Java error or Partition error

My assumption is it is with the Customize settings before the install. I have tried disabling everything, I've tried adding all the necessary files on the instructions, tried just a few and not others, etc. I have tried burning the iso again with Nero at a slower speed.

Hi I've installed Leo4All v2. The installation went well but wen I tried to run it from the HDD it didn't start. I got an error and some other things I don't understand.

Ok im trying to install leo4all on a:

Intel Core 2, 2.4GHZ
1GB Memory
MB: MSI 975X Platinum MS-7246
Video: GeForce 7900 GTX

Ive burnt the dvd twice using 2 different pieces of software just to check it wasn't a burn error, but both time I boot into the dvd then format my harddrive to just 1 partition (160 GB), using the option of MBR. I then close disk utilities and click next on the installer then customize the install ticking quite a few of the options, the things I think I need for my hardware to work.

After ive ticked all them I click next on the install and it comes up with the checking dvd box (to check if there is any problems on the dvd), if I skip that or even if I leave it going, as it finished and then is about to start installing OSX it straight away comes up with and error of Could not install OSX restart and try again. Ive restarted and tried again many times and still no luck.

Anybody know anything I could try or anything I need to do to get OSX to install.

ok, i loaded the disc to boot and it cycles through the text then I get "Failed to load extension org.tgwbd.driver.ACPIPS2nub." then at the bottom it says "to wish to boot the system: exit. Then it logs out an I get to the apple logo, then nothing happens. I waited 30 minutes for something to happen. stuck

leo4all V2 Network 'connect as' button doesn't work

well after installing V2 I noticed that when I click on any network computers I get error 'Connection failed' and the 'connect as ' button doesn't respond, I have internet, I also see my network drives but when I click 'connect as' it won't respond.

Also in the Connect to Server, gives error when I tried to connect to any of my http, or any other network drives i.e. smb://192.168.3.108 it gives error: 'The text entered doesn't appear to be a recognized URL format' even though its correctly entered.

Please help if there is any solution.

hi all , I'd like to get help; with the EVGA 8800 GTS (G92) driver, I tried NVinject (NVInstallers v41, v.34..) a few different version but after reboot I get screen flickering i.e. my screen becomes blue for like 3 seconds and than returns to normal for like 3 seconds, this never ends, also I can still move the mouse and stuff but my screen is just annoying,

I have leo4all 10.5.2 with Vanilla kernel installed and without the Le04Allv1-PPF patch, since I don't know how to apply it.

Failed DVD drive mounting after installation

Hi,

first thanks for great work! For me was the installation simple and successful but after the installation of Leo4Allv2 I was not able to read any CD/DVD disc from the same drive that was used for installation of OS X. Mounting problems? I have 2 HDDs on primary IDE and 2 optical drives on secondary IDE.

second problem, no audio driver and special AC97 audio driver is not included on the Leo4All DVD image (the sum of all audio drivers = 0 kb)?

Any suggestion?

THanks for this great install. It's my first time installing OSx86 and it all went smoothly and works on my HP Laptop.

Only problem is now that it's installed and running ( doing this from OSx now!) I have no idea where to start with getting my Nvidia 7600 Go (512Mb) and sound ( AC97 ) to work.
Do you have a total beginners/dummy style guide to getting the drivers to work ?

I looked at your guide and I found the Nvidia and sound packages on the Leo4All DVD and clicked on them to install/extract them but have no idea what to do now. I'm totally new to OSx and OSx86 so have no idea how to install and activate drivers in it :(

Sorry if this is an idiotic post but I need guiding through what to do next. (So strange going from being the person my friends ask advice on Windows to being a total dunce now..)

What's the easiest way to try and get this card to work.

Before when I was running 10.4.11 I tried editing Geforce.kext and the other relevant kext to add the relevant vendor ID to get it working with titan, Nvinject and Natit I never had any success. This is partly as I am not very experience with unix.

This time round when installing Leo4All, In check the Nvidia kext option under customise and will try this way.

Any help would be greatly appreciate. Thanks so much for this release, it's brilliant!

OS X could not be installed error

While trying to install Leo4All, I get to the installer, it goes through the install process and just at the end I get the error message "OS X could not be installed".

I was reading that maybe changing bios settings might help but I'm at a loss. Any help would be appriciated.

Is there anyway to get a GMA X3100 to work with Leo4all. I have access to a GMA X3100 equipped Macbook — can I use the kexts from it?

I'm running Leo4all on a Centrino Duo Gateway machine.

I just need my resolution to be higher than 1024x768, QE is not a priority.

The Installation disk didn't recognize my hdd. I've a nForce 430 controller and my hd is sata. It doesn't appear on the Disk Utility at the install menu.

I think that loading the new MeDevil driver may fix it, because the Zephyroth installer show the hdd. (I've other problems with the Zephyroth dvd, jeje)

I don't know how to load the kext with the installer working or patch the dvd with the new kext.

Hi, I've been trying to install the leo4all distribution and by a simple trial and error method determined that the problem is related to my Video Card. The installation goes without a problem whether I select a nvidia driver or not. But in the case when I have selected a nvidia driver after the initial reboot the system hangs just before the introduction movie. If I don't select a nvidia driver the boot process goes fine and I am able to run the OS. The funny thing is that a friend of mine installed the same OS (from the same DVD disk) and he also has a 7300 GT video card, but his is with 256MB and the OS is running perfectly. Can you give me any clues how to fix this one. Thanks :)

Hi,

I wanted to configure internet and connect to the LAN on my new leopard AMD computer, but i am new to the OS.
The computer doesn't find the connection and can not connect. My first thought was that i didn't have the right drivers. So i read the "How to's" that all drivers are on the DVD.

The problem is that the computer doesnt detect the DVD either! It doesnt show up as a disk :S
How do i do to get the DVD and LAN working?

Ok, first of all I am new to Mac OS. Now that is out of the way. I am having an issue with Leo4all it installs fine how ever when it reboots to start up form the HD it stops after what I assume to be a very long POST the last entry was "Unknown SIGSEGV code 0" which I googled and didn't find anything helpful…

Installed but won't book

Used disk utility to partition 1st SATA drive and installed Leo4All, which finished. Now it just reboots and sits at a cursor after the bios info screen.

Athlon 64 3200 (about 3-4 years old with a VIA Raid chipset). I removed the RAID, and chose just one disk to install, but it won't boot.

Hello all. I've just installed Leo4all and got it to boot into the shell without any special tags, but I'm having a problem progressing past the information transfer window.
After the verbose messages, the computer boots into the grey screen, and I am informed that my keyboard couldn't be identified. I go through the process described, select my country and my language, and then get to the Transfer Settings window. I have tried to select "Do not transfer my settings now", but I am just shunted back to the "Your keyboard could not be identified" page after about 20 seconds.

MB: Asus M2N-E (Nforce 570 Chipset)

Can't do custom installation

I have the Leo4All v2 ISO. The DVD boots and installs properly, but it won't let me do a custom installation. I select the "Leopard" partition, which is 10 gigs and HFS+, and I can install but the "Options" button is grayed out.

I tried going ahead with installation but then I get a "still waiting for root device" because the full installation installs the wrong SATA drivers. Any ideas?

Need some help here. When I try booting the dvd from my dvd drive inside my laptop it wont run, it says waiting for root device. I have problems with my dvd drive so i decided to try boot it from an external usb dvd drive (LG Super Multi DVD writer). This time it boots up into the install menu. However, when I go to install the operating system, no hard drives show up in the selection to choose where to install it too. Also, in the partition editor, the hard drive doesnt show up either. The SATA is natively detected on my MB it appair on the BIOS.
The old version 10.4.8 Jas Work well on my PC.

First I want to thank Eddie for his great work! Thank you.

After downloading the ISO and PPF I checked the MD5's before and after the PFF both matched up with the info files supplied. After burning and verifying the ISO with nero at 2.4x (the slowest my burner goes) i got the infamous "/com.apple.Boot.plist error" at boot up, the solution for my laptop was to go into the bios, not do anything there and exit without saving, as by magic the DVD booted up fine and the installation went flawlessly. Diskedit saw my SATA HD and IDE DVD. I've deselected languages and install the netkas kernel + amdfixes. As the Wiki advises no drivers have been selected. After the install I was presented with a boot menu with 2 options, OSX and NTFS (my dump (mp3/media/etc) partition).

This is where the problem started. Pressing enter on OSX results in a direct reboot, waiting for the timeout to finish also produces an instant reboot. When entering "-x -s -v" i get a lot of scrolling messages and in the end a panic:

If you need all the debug stuff let me know and I will type it over. I've tried booting up with "cpus=1" which did not do much, disk1s2 is the DVD, is it looking for the OSX DVD? I've also tried turning on and off my bios's virtualisation support. No external drives or mice/keyboards are plugged in, just a bare laptop.

What can I do to fix this OSX install. Do i need to reinstall with drivers or something? Any advise/tips are welcome and I'm willing to test as much as possible; backups have been made ;)

every time I try to install, when there's about 5 minutes left in the installation, I get an error that says the installer could not validate the contents if the 'Dutch' package.

Just these two problems, otherwise great install. I couldn't get this machine to work successfully with any of the other previous leopard or tiger installers, so I'm generally happy.

When I go to apple/about this mac, the finder quits and restarts. This is an MSI MPC 945 barebones machine w/ 1 GB of memory, 3.4ghz P4-Dual core (not even a core2duo).

Also, ACPI support is spotty. Should I expect to get suspend to ram functionality to work? right now, I have it set to do S1 sleep, and it does go to sleep, but it doesn't come back up.

I am using the NVinject drivers with an older (nvidia 5200 card I think) Nvidia pci express card. They seem to work fine, but maybe this has something to do with acpi resume troubles?

please let me know where I should look to solve these problems. on the other hand, system profiler does not crash, so i am able to still view system info.

I have installed with netkas kernel, amd fixes, with or without video drivers, with or without audio drivers. No other drivers.
I had problems with video (no video drivers seems to work), with audio and with network wired card… Also I noticed (during install too) that the system sometimes stop for a bit and then start again with its operations, when that happens if I move the mouse or press a key the system star again immediately…
Any idea?

I have a sata disk on my motherboard nforce 520 but i don't see it will installing so i cannot install this dvd does anyone know a solution?

I have tried to install 10 versions of Tiger or Leopard (JaS, iATKOS, Tubgirl)on my system, and I could not neither of them to finish the instalation. The farthest was just befor the boot sequence finished when i got an error message that said my keyboard could not be detected (although it worked during the instalation, the mouse would not work at all from the start) and so I could not get to fully boot the system. Will Leo4All work for me? My specs are: AMD Athlon 3200+ ~2.0 GHZ, 1.5 GB Ram @667 Mhz,(Kingston) motherboard : Asus M2N4-SLI (NVIDIA nForce 500 SLI Technology (http://asus.com/products.aspx?l1=3&l2=101&l3=370&l4=0&model=1266&modelmenu=1)), video card: nVIDIA 7600 GS 256 MB , HDD: SATA WD 250 GB, CDrw/DVDrw on IDE made by ASUS.

Hope somebody can help me…10x

Black screen at Startup???

I finished my installation of Leo4all and after it restarts the PC I take the installation DVD out. After it shows the HP Logo it just show blank black screen with this _ sign blinking at the top… I'm not really sure whats wrong cuz i only installed the AMD fix and the Vanilla kernel,+ the appz that were there.

Any suggestions??

I need some help i've managed to install Leo4all but when i boot after i've installed i get a ACPI_SMC_platform Kernal Panic.

Any ideas on how to solve this.

I'm using GUID and GUID EFI any help will be gratefully recieved!

after installing Leo4ALL, i need to use the Leo4ALL disk and type disk0s2 -x to boot the Leopard
Otherwise it will give +HFS partition error
